Re: 95 or 98

Bronzee old age must be setting in, you said this a mere 10 years ago :) Use unleaded premium gas with octane of at least 95 (RON) octane. If premium gas not available, 91 maybe temporarily used, but only under following precautions: * Only partially filled with 91 & fill up with full grade (ie 98 )...

Re: 240z resto on Duke tv

Surprised they fitted fuel injection, surely would have been just as easy to fit new carbs and probably cheaper too. Looks like they made a choice to go with the sponsors products. I always wonder how good those engines are when they have been sitting outside for years then suddenly fire up and go w...

Re: $2,500 for a 300ZX with a stuffed fuel pump?

no wof or rego, Auto, non turbo The kiss of death. :D 300ZXs are currently so cheap you should be able to get a turbo that is not dereg for that price. Or at least spend a bit extra to get a going one. The parts costs for these things are shocking and getting hard to find. Without a going one you c...

You can get close to that side exhaust look while running the exhaust under the car, there is a perfect gap for it each side. [albumimg]1787[/albumimg] The motorsport rules are 5.2 Exhaust system: (1) General Requirements: All vehicles shall be fitted with an efficient and effective silencer that: (...

I thought there needed to be a bit of flex and movement on the radiator and intecooler mounting to avoid cracking when hitting bumps or ripple strips. They are quite fragile. Normally a bit of rubber works or mount on something that has a bit of flex. Looks like we are both doing similar things (wel...

Ha Ha that is hardcase. Generally the centre of the steering is where the kingpin is. Might be a translation issue or maybe me and my mechanics are just wrong. According to Wikipedia While no current-era automobile front suspension incorporates a physical king pin, the angle of the pivot points of t...

You might have trouble finding one since they don't have one. Maybe a ball joint is what he means. Most parts are readily available. Cheaper to buy from the USA though. Try conceptzperformance. But be wary if you mechanic does not understand that kingpins became obsolete in the 70's. Work done on Ze...
