Those two guys must have forgotten to bid.waidez wrote:Looks like i'll have a bidding war on my hands! Over 7000 views and 350 watchers. Have a guy coming up from Queenstown to view the car before the auction closes.
TradeMe finds
260z
I think the 260z compared to other US, and Australian classics is a bargain. A 1970s 911 is around $100,000........
Compared to historic prices for a 260z 2+2 it is up there. Long term I would guess there is room to move up in value given other classics which are arguably not as good to drive, look worse are more money.......

72 240z plus bits
The market is lifting rapidly, would have been too dear 12-18 months ago but looks tidy, check the floor panels, guards, hatch and slam panel for corrosion and repair that is when your buy price should be adjusted according to repairs needed. I would expect that car to not have layers of bog and poor repairs plus be very tidy, super original and undamaged for that price.newZer wrote: Would you consider it to be a reasonable price?
2+2' s have traditionally had lower asking prices than 2 seaters but have picked up recently, the subject car is one of the most expensive unrestored 2+2's I have seen.

240Z race car on trade me

That car is extremely well presented with some impressive workmanship and alot of stuff not mentioned in the ad. I would defy anyone to build a similar car for less money. The 1:20 at Hampton Downs has been achieved on a fast improving arc. If a buyer was after a road car, they would be hard pressed to beat that value. If they wanted a race car its ready to drive to the track. Shame to see Roman selling, he's invested a lot of resource in that car.
