Central Otago Newbie

Post by Skiwi » Tue Nov 22, 2016 8:13 pm

Hi,
New to the forum and Zeds.

2004 Enthusiast, my first sports coupe and I'm loving the fact if gives me the same silly grin as the motorbike when you open up the throttle and apex the corners. :D

It was a bit of a mission to "de smoke" it, but 95% of the smell is gone now and the final 5% should be history by the end of summer.

Looks and feels very straight, still nice and tight in the handling, overall I'm wrapped and if its a reliable ride it will be in the stable for some time.

Any other owners from down this way get together for trips?

Cheers
Skiwi

Nice car, and nice backdrop too. Part of me wants a wing like that, the other part of me can barely see when reversing as it is! Do you find it's an obstacle for view out the back?
Also what's this de-smoking business about?
In a long distance relationship with my 260z

Yeap, the wing is an obstacle for reversing (an spotting Mr Plod creeping up on you) but I can still hear when I've gone too far ;) I actually reverse mostly using my side mirrors, so its not a huge issue for me.

De smoking = removing the stink created by the previous owner smoking in the car....a lot

Well spotted, they are either a love or hate item.

I wanted something very different to most of the other Z's running around which is why I went for the full kit look. as a bonus the car also feels more grounded at speed :D

One of the caged race 350's had the little stock eerm wing at the back, he took it off trying to save some weight, ended up putting on a really massive wing, is now very planted.

How's tricks!

Post by malman77 » Wed Dec 07, 2016 6:08 pm

Hey man, nice rig :)

Have just left Crompton due to work changes (lived out at Pisa Moorings) but still get up that way a bit from Invers.
Just got an '07 350Z so keen for the odd cruise in the countryside some time if you get bored :D

There's a good core of Zeds in the SI again now, events to be hatched.
